154 undocumented migrants held in Turkey
Afghan and Pakistani nationals detained in eastern Erzurum province

ERZURUM, Turkey (AA) - At least 154 undocumented migrants were held in eastern Erzurum province on Wednesday, according to a security source.
The source who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media said police received a report about a group of migrants walking on Erzurum-Agri road.
The source said police came to the scene and detained 154 migrants who are Afghan and Pakistani nationals.
The migrants illegally entered Turkey from Iran, the source added.
Turkey has been a main route for refugees trying to cross into Europe, especially since the beginning of the civil war in Syria.
