KILIS, Turkey (AA) – Two Syrian nationals injured in clashes between the Free Syrian Army and the terrorist PKK/PYD are receiving treatment in southern Turkey, a health official at the Turkish-Syrian customs gate said on Saturday.
The injured, who were wounded in the area of Bab-Manbij, were taken to the Cobanbey Customs Gate and then to the Kilis State Hospital by medical personnel, one in critical condition, the official added.
The PYD is a Syrian offshoot of the PKK, which is recognized as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the EU, and the U.S.
For more than 30 years, the PKK has waged a terror campaign against Turkey, leading to the deaths of more than 40,000 people -- security forces and civilians alike -- including more than 1,200 since July 2015 alone.
