2 Turkish media groups terminate contracts with Reuters

ISTANBUL (AA) — The Istanbul-based TurkMedya and Albayrak Medya broadcasting groups announced on Tuesday that they had unilaterally terminated their contracts with the Reuters news agency.

The announcements came after a Reuters special report on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's son on Monday.

Both media groups announced the decisions separately on their Twitter accounts.

Turkish officials have condemned Reuters for reporting baseless allegations about Bilal Erdogan on Monday, saying the coverage amounted to disinformation.
