Turkish citizens arrived in Aegean resort of Bodrum after being stranded on Kos

BODRUM, Turkey (AA) - A ferry carrying 205 Turkish citizens arrived in the Aegean resort of Bodrum on Friday after being stranded on the Greek island of Kos due to a severe earthquake early in the morning.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Bodrum district of Mugla province by rescue teams, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent who was at the scene to cover the evacuation process.
A Turkish naval ship escorted the passenger vessel during its journey from Kos island to Bodrum, according to the reporter.
Two foreign nationals, including a Turkish citizen, were killed when the 6.6-magnitude earthquake hit the Greek island of Kos, close to the western Turkish coast, in the early hours of Friday.
The quake also hit Turkish resort of Bodrum where no casualties were reported.
Turkish authority announced earlier that Turkey’s consulate in Piraeus launched the evacuation process for more than 200 Turkish nationals stranded in Kos.
