3 Palestinians hurt in W. Bank clashes with Israel army

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - Clashes erupted on Friday between Palestinian protesters and Israeli troops in several parts of the occupied West Bank.

Clashes were reported in the town of Kafr Qaddum near Nablus and in the West Bank cities of Qalqilya and Hebron (Al-Khalil), where Israeli troops used teargas and rubber bullets against demonstrators, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent based in the area.

Protesters responded by pelting the troops with stones and blocking roads with flaming tires.

At least three Palestinians were reportedly injured after being struck by rubber bullets while dozens more suffered the effects of copious teargas.

According to witnesses, the Qalqilya clashes erupted after Israeli troops entered the city in force as Palestinian residents were leaving Friday prayers.

Each Friday, Palestinians across the West Bank stage anti-Israel protests that frequently lead to clashes with Israeli troops.
