3 PKK terrorists killed in SE Turkey operation

ANKARA (AA) – Three PKK terrorists have been killed in Turkey’s southeastern Hakkari province, the military said Friday.

The Turkish General Staff said in a statement that three terrorists were killed Friday morning in an air operation supported by ground troops in the province’s Cukurca district.

The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization also by the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July last year. Since then, more than 600 security personnel have been martyred and more than 7,000 PKK terrorists killed.
