ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish security forces on Saturday arrested 31 foreign nationals in Istanbul over their suspected links to the Daesh terrorist organization.
The Istanbul police department's anti-terrorism branch launched an operation to nab the suspects who were planning to carry out terror attacks.
The suspects were arrested in three districts of Istanbul.
Turkish security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to thwart Daesh attacks.
More than 300 people lost their lives in Daesh-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror organization has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket and gun attacks.
