377 journalists receive training from Anadolu Agency, Police Academy, TIKA

ANKARA (AA) - At least 377 reporters received war journalism training from Anadolu Agency in collaboration with the country's Police Academy and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Turkey's state-run aid agency,
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, the Police Academy's Vice President Fatih Inal said they provided training to participants from 39 countries so far.
Inal said the program aimed to train operational reporters to serve in war, disaster, and emergency situations.
Experts from various units at the Police Academy such as the special forces, pyrotechnicians, the criminal department, traffic, and aviation provide training to the participants, he said.
He also cited the ongoing training of 22 Azerbaijani reporters as part of the 18th war journalism program.
Noting that 251 Turkish and 126 foreign journalists have been trained during a total of 17 training periods, Inal said: "We shared our experiences with journalists from many countries such as South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Ukraine, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Iraq and Palestine."
