MALATYA, Turkey (AA) - Police arrested four suspects for their alleged links to the PKK/KCK terror group in eastern Turkey, the provincial security directorate said on Monday.
The arrests in Malatya province came after arrest warrants were issued for five people, who had been accused of spreading terror propaganda, insulting the Turkish people, Republic of Turkey and state institutes, humiliating the president and prompting people for hostility, the statement said.
A search for the other suspect remains underway, it added.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey as well as the U.S. and the EU.
In its terror campaign against Turkey, which has lasted for more than three decades, over 40,000 people have been killed, including women and children.
