There has been no claim of responsibility for Wednesday's attacks

BAGHDAD (AA) – Seven people, including four soldiers, were killed in two separate attacks in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Wednesday, according to a local police officer.
A bomber blew up his vehicle at a military checkpoint in the Arab Jabour village, south of Baghdad, captain Daham al-Mahmoud told Anadolu Agency.
“Five people – four soldiers and the bomber – were killed and seven troops injured in the attack,” he said.
A bomb blast also killed two civilians and injured five others in al-Nahrawan district, southeast of Baghdad, al-Mahmoud added.
There has been no claim of responsibility for Wednesday’s attacks, though Iraqi authorities often point the finger at the Daesh terrorist group, which overran vast swathes of territory in northern and western Iraq in 2014.
Iraqi forces are currently preparing a major offensive to recapture Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, from Daesh group.
