Abu Dhabi crown prince meets with Eritrean president

ABU DHABI (AA) - Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday held talks with Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, according to Abu Dhabi's official WAM news agency.

According to WAM, the two leaders discussed the latest regional and international developments, especially those pertaining to the Horn of Africa region.

They also reportedly discussed opportunities “for stepped-up bilateral cooperation in the economic, commercial, investment and development fields”.

Afwerki arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier Tuesday for an official visit to the United Arab Emirates.
