Amazon removes doormats with images of Quran from sale
Online retailer halts sale of mats with images of Hindu gods, Kabaa in Mecca, Jesus
ANKARA (AA) - Online retailer Amazon has removed doormats featuring religious images, including pictures of the Quran and Mecca’s Kabaa, from sale.
By Monday, mats featuring pictures of Hindu gods and Jesus Christ had been removed from the website following calls on social media to boycott Amazon.
One producer, Rock Bull, was still selling mats with images of mosques.
