Turkey's News Cameramen's Association honors Anadolu Agency staffers in 6 different categories

ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency cameramen have been honored for their work by the Turkey Video Cameramen's Association.

The winners of the 23rd Zoom International News Videos Contest were announced by the group on Monday afternoon.

The agency's Hisam Abu Shaqrah got the award for Best News Footage, while Murat Karadag, Orhan Fatih Dogan, Ilhami Cetin and Ozkan Bilgin were also honored in various categories.

Agency correspondent Sarp Ozer and cameraman Engin Corlu were also given courage awards for their brave efforts in Afrin, Syria, where Turkey launched an operation to clear the area of terrorists.

The agency's Visual News Department won a plaque for its cameramen's "creative" works across Turkey, the association said in a statement.
