Anadolu Agency granted award by angel investors

Anadolu Agency follows angel investment congress, reports events in eight languages, says forum's chairman

ISTANBUL (AA) - Anadolu Agency was awarded by the World Business Angel Investment Forum (WBAF) during the World Congress 2020 late Tuesday.

The two-day congress, known as “Davos” of early-stage investments and equity markets, hosted hundreds of participants from 92 countries and 132 international speakers in 24 panels, including angel investors, venture capitalists, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.

Hundreds of delegates attended the event which ended on Tuesday. Anadolu Agency was the global communications partner of the congress.

Ali Turker Pirtini, a member of the agency’s board, received the award on behalf of Anadolu Agency.

Pirtini recalled that Turkey is the fourth largest angel investment country in Europe and the country will see more investments in fields such as innovation, technology and digitalization through angel investors.

Baybars Altuntas, the chairman of the WBAF, hailed Anadolu Agency as a leading news outlet in the world.

The agency followed the congress with a 24-member team and contributed it by reporting events to the world in eight languages, he added.
