ANKARA (AA) - Saleh Mahmoud Laila, a brave journalist affiliated with Anadolu Agency, was remembered with kind words on his fourth death anniversary.
He was killed in a suicide car bombing by Daesh in Aleppo, northeastern Syria on Oct. 9, 2015.
“Saleh was a brave one. He would always work on the frontline,” said his father, Mahmoud Laila.
He said he chose journalism as a profession to become the voice of the oppressed people.
Twenty other people were killed in the attack that claimed the young journalist's life.
Through his photographs, Saleh Mahmoud Laila captured conflict in Syria and was able to grasp the attention of the world.
His work was featured in leading media outlets across the world.
He was born in the town of Anadan in Aleppo.
