Anadolu Agency's News Academy in collaboration with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), as part of its journalist-training program, organized the two-week-long program.

Representatives from Turkey's Energy Ministry, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority, Turkish Petroleum, an academic from Turkey's Middle East Technical University, an expert from the TurkStream pipeline company and Anadolu Agency's Energy Desk editors will train the journalists who hail from Moldova, Albania, Georgia, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Serbia, South Sudan and Venezuela.

The participants will receive training in subjects ranging from energy news reporting techniques, energy policies, energy law, energy security, and global natural gas and oil markets.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Hayri Cetinkus, the Deputy Coordinator of Anadolu Agency's News Academy who outlined the training program, emphasized the pivotal role that journalists have in reporting developments in the energy sector.

Speaking on behalf of the participants, Andreina Maria Triago Acosta, a journalist from Venezuela, thanked TIKA and Anadolu Agency for providing the opportunity to attend such a "comprehensive and efficient" training program.
