Anadolu Agency news now available on ‘Windows phones’

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s leading news wire service Anadolu Agency has announced that its readers will now have access to its stories on their “Windows Phone” applications.

The new application would be available on Window Phone 8.1 and its updated operation systems, the agency said.

Currently, only news from the Turkish service will be available on the application; however, AA plans to soon feature news from its English service as well.

Anadolu Agency’s Information and Communication Technologies Director Yakup Sivka said the agency was playing a lead role in the media’s communication technologies sector in Turkey.

“Although the number of mobile devices using windows phone operating system is low, we wrote an application in the same quality of our application system as we did for the iOS and Android markets,” he said.

The agency earlier launched apps for Android and iOS.
