Anadolu Agency publishes 2019 Almanac

ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency has released its trilingual Almanac on the most significant events of 2019.

In Turkish, English and Arabic languages, it chronologically highlights memorable events of 2019 in Turkey and worldwide, from politics and arts, to economy, sports, life, culture science and health, with striking images captured by Anadolu Agency photojournalists.

Covering key people and events with facts, statistics and data, the 2019 Almanac is now on sale in bookstores and online.

Among national events are Turkey’s Operation Peace Spring east of the Euphrates River, the local elections in Turkey, Russian S-400 hardware deployment to Ankara, do-over election in Istanbul, Turkey’s 3rd national scientific expedition to Antarctica, the opening of the largest mosque of Turkey, trilateral Syria summit between Turkey, Russia and Iran in Turkey and publicizing Turkey’s first indigenous automobile prototype.

Notre Dame cathedral, Christchurch mosque attacks in New Zealand, death of Egypt’s first democratically-elected president Mohamed Morsi, historic Bangsamoro vote in the Philippines, conflicts in Libya, military coup in Sudan, European Parliament elections, death of Daesh/ISIS leader Abu Bakr Baghdadi and G20 Leaders' Summit are also covered in the 2019 Almanac.

Meanwhile, Chile protest, Golden Globes, G20 Osaka summit, Grammy awards, clashes at Al-Aqsa compound, Trump-Kim summits, Amazon fires, Hong Kong protests and general election in the U.K. are the international highlights of yearbook.
