Anadolu Agency signs deal with Polish Press Agency
Cooperation deal enables reciprocal use of English news
By Bahattin Gonultas
BERLIN (AA) - Turkey's Anadolu Agency and Polish Press Agency (PAP) signed a cooperation agreement on Friday, enabling reciprocal use of English news.
The agreement was signed by Metin Mutanoglu, Anadolu Agency's deputy director general and editor-in-chief and PAP President Wojciech Surmacz in German capital Berlin.
It will enable both parties to exchange news in English languages reciprocally.
Mutanoglu said that the agency will have the opportunity to offer news from remote areas to its clients thanks to bilateral deals.
"As media, Anadolu Agency wants to contribute to bilateral relations of Turkey and Poland.
That the most significant news agencies of Turkey and Poland have given a friendly hand to each other will contribute to political and economic relations between these two countries," Mutanoglu stated.
He also said the cooperation between news agencies worldwide is necessary due to the digitalization and rise of disinformation.
