Anadolu Agency trains over 2,400 journalists in News Academy last year

ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency's News Academy trained 2,439 journalists from different countries last year.

Aiming to share the agency's more than a decade of journalistic experience with media representatives from different continents, the News Academy conducted 41 training programs in 2022.

The News Academy, which added online training programs to its curriculum for the first time in 2020 due to the outbreak of COVID -19, organized both online and classroom training in 2022 and held nearly 800 course hours.

In addition to Turkish and English, Arabic and Russian were added to the News Academy curriculum.

The News Academy also incorporated new topics such as live broadcasts and news announcements, reporting in crisis areas, cybersecurity and drone training.

A total of 25 media representatives attended the war journalism training organized in cooperation with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Police Academy.

The training is aimed at reporters who are deployed in war, disaster and emergency situations.

The News Academy has also expanded its cooperation with various institutions, including the Turkish Communications Directorate, TIKA, the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), and the Youth and Sports Ministry, the Presidency for Foreign Turks and Related Communities (YTB) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Anadolu Agency's experienced reporters gave lectures in areas such as internet journalism, diplomatic reporting, energy journalism, interview techniques, social media applications, news and infographic relations, and image and photo shooting.
