ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency has delivered to media organizations the results of last five elections based on ballot boxes data.

Instant results announced by the agency were in full accord with the final results of the Supreme Election Board of Turkey.

Almost all of the national and regional media organizations are subscribers of this special election broadcasting and they share the results with the public opinion which are conveyed by Anadolu Agency.

The tests are made at least four times before each election to ensure that the broadcasting organizations are receiving the data in a correct manner.

These and similar applications, known as "mock data unit testing" in the broadcasting world, are repeated many times before almost every important broadcast.

The aim of the tests is to prevent the probable risks during data transmission on election night, to let media organizations to check their own technical competence and to provide an integrated work with Anadolu Agency’s data flow system.

The tests, which are done on the requests from the broadcasting organizations, check the compliance of the election screen for subscribers with various versions by giving different vote rates to the parties.

During the test the previous day, the data sent to the media organizations were based on the results of the last election, and random voting was done for parties and candidates who did not participate in the election.

Moreover, it had been previously reported to media organizations that the distribution of representative votes would be made in such manner.

The test broadcasts are not shared with the public, and it can only be seen by the subscriber media organizations. Sharing this test broadcasting with the public is the choice or fault of the subscriber organization.

This situation, which is known by all media executives in detail, is distorted by some people and institutions and transmitted to the public is a perception operation that does not coincide with reality.

It is absolutely unacceptable that Anadolu Agency, which is the most powerful and reliable news source of the Turkish media, is subjected to baseless allegations.

Legal procedures have been initiated against persons and institutions, who brought up allegations against our institution on purpose that are contrary to the truth.
