ANKARA (AA) - Armenian General Staff's former Deputy Chief Haykaz Baghmanyan has been accused of "unjust enrichment" in a lawsuit.

The Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of Armenia filed a criminal case against Baghmanyan for concealing his wealth in declarations he made during his tenure, acquiring properties disproportionate to his income and failing to disclose the source of his wealth, according to the official Armenian news agency, Armenpress.

Baghmanyan served as the deputy chief of the Armenian General Staff between 2014 - December 2020 and later as deputy chief of staff of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
