Asian markets close Monday in green side

Hang Seng up by 2.7%, Shanghai rises 1.55%, Sensex soars 1.41%

ISTANBUL (AA) – The major Asian stock markets closed Monday with gains.

The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, earned 41.44 points, or 1.32%, to reach 3,173.71 at 0959GMT.

Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 stock exchange was up by 145.08 points, or 0.54%, to close at 26,788.47.

The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, rose 548.46 points, or 2.7%, to 20,846.18.

China’s Shanghai Stock Exchange went up by 50.04 points, or 1.55%, to 3,278.10.

India's Sensex benchmark soared 760.37 points, or 1.41%, to close at 54,521.15, while the Singapore index increased 22.61 points, or 0.73%, to 3,134.87.
