Asian markets end Thursday with mixed figures
Asian stock markets see low volume during annual holiday season

ANKARA (AA) – Amid growing fears over the coronavirus omicron variant, stock markets in Asia closed with mixed figures on Thursday.
Trading volume in Asian markets has also thinned due to the ongoing holiday season.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, fell by 10.65 points, or 0.28%, to close at 3,762 points.
Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 stock exchange was down by 115.17 points, or 0.40%, to close at 28,791.
The Indian Sensex benchmark declined by 12.17 points, or 0.02%, to 57,794 points, while the Singapore index slipped by 11.38 points, or 0.36%, to 3,126.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, climbed by 25.47 points, or 0.11%, to 23,112.
China’s Shanghai stock exchange was also up by 22.19 points, or 0.62%, to 3,619 points.
