The Fed raised its benchmark interest rate by 75 basis points for the fourth consecutive time to fight record inflation.

The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, rose 0.33% to 3,147.89 points.

The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, ended its five-day losing streak, as it rose 0.57% to 17,523.8 points.

China's Shanghai Stock Exchange increased 0.26% to close at 3,096.9 and the Indian Sensex benchmark climbed 0.15% to 61,510.58 points.

The Singapore index, on the other hand, lost 0.11% to 3,255.99 aftermath of disappointing inflation data.
