Azeri oil firm to open refinery in Aegean Turkey Friday
Attending opening ceremony for facility will be Turkish, Azerbaijani presidents and other top officials

ANKARA (AA) - Azerbaijani oil company SOCAR is set to open a new oil refinery in the Turkish Aegean coastal city of Izmir on Friday, Turkey announced.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev will attend tomorrow's opening ceremony for the Star Refinery along with top officials from both sides, said the Presidential Press Office.
The project is reportedly one of the biggest investments in the private sector in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa in recent years.
