Bahrain to hold parliamentary elections on Nov. 12

MANAMA, Bahrain (AA) - Bahrain will head to the polls for parliamentary elections on Nov. 12, according to the country’s news agency.

Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Thursday issued a royal order which set the date of elections for the 40-member Council of Representatives.

The order also said a second round of elections will take place on Nov. 19 if required.

Bahraini citizens who want to run in the upcoming elections for parliamentary seats will be able to submit their applications on Oct. 5-9, it said.
