Barcelona center Sertac Sanli tests positive for COVID-19

30-year-old in good health, has quarantined at home, says club statement

ISTANBUL (AA) - Barcelona center Sertac Sanli has tested positive for coronavirus, the Spanish basketball club said on Wednesday.

The Turkish international "is in good health" and has "quarantined at home," Barcelona tweeted.

Sanli has played for several Turkish clubs including Anadolu Efes, Galatasaray, and Besiktas.

He won the Turkish Super Lig three times – twice with Anadolu Efes and once with Galatasaray.

Before his move to Barcelona, the 30-year-old helped Anadolu Efes win the 2021 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague title.

Sanli averaged 7.5 points, and 3.3 rebounds in 18 EuroLeague games this season.

Barcelona have 16-5 win/loss record to come second in EuroLeague's regular season standings.
