Barcelona defender Lenglet sustains hamstring injury

ANKARA (AA) - Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet has suffered a hamstring injury, according to the Spanish football club on Thursday.

"Test conducted on Clement Lenglet on the morning of Thursday 3 February has revealed an injury to the femoral biceps in his left hamstring, meaning that he is unavailable until the injury clears," Barcelona said in a statement.

The club did not disclose a specific date for Lenglet’s return to the pitch.

Lenglet, 26, joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2018.

He won the Spanish La Liga title in 2019 and a Spanish Cup last season.

Lenglet, who also plays for the French national team, made 16 appearances for Barcelona this season.
