ANKARA (AA) – Turkish basketball team Fenerbahce Beko on Wednesday parted ways with four players, Baris Hersek, Erick Green, Yordan Minchev and Ahmet Can Duran.
''Erick Green and Baris Hersek, whose contracts expired at the end of the season, will not be in Fenerbahce squad in upcoming season. The club did not use extension options for Yordan Minchev and Ahmet Can Duran as well,’’ the team said in a statement on its website.
Turkish power forward Baris Hersek joined Fenerbahce Beko in 2015.
He won the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague title in 2017 and claimed top Turkish basketball league titles three times in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Erick Green signed a one-year contract with Fenerbahce Beko in October 2018.
The 27-year-old player had with 5.6 points, 0.8 rebound and 0.8 assist average in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Bulgarian forward Yordan Minchev -- who was loaned to an Istanbul Buyuksehir basketball club last season—only played two games with Fenerbahce Beko in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
20-year-old Ahmet Can Duran was loaned to Sigortam.net ITU Basket -- a team from the second-tier league in Turkey -- in December 2018.
