Basketball: Euroleague playoffs to start on April 17

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Airlines Euroleague playoffs will start on April 17, with eight teams set to fight for the final four spots in Belgrade.

Reigning Euroleague champions Fenerbahce Dogus finished the regular season at the second spot; they will face the seventh seed, Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz.

Istanbul-based club Fenerbahce recorded 21 wins and 9 losses in the regular season; Baskonia on the other hand, managed to pile up 16 wins and 14 losses.

Regular season leaders CSKA Moscow recorded 24 wins and 6 losses; it will face eighth-seed Khimki Moscow Region.

In the quarter finals, the first team to record three wins in the series will advance to the Euroleague Final Four.
