Basketball: Fenerbahce advance to Turkish league finals

ANKARA (AA) - Fenerbahce Dogus have advanced to the Turkish basketball league finals after beating Banvit 84-73 and sweeping the semifinal series 3-0.

The match Friday on Banvit's home turf saw Fenerbahce dominate from start to finish as the reigning Turkish league champions once again advanced to the finals.

Five players scored in double digits for Fenerbahce with Brad Wanamaker the team's high scorer with 16.

Banvit forward Damian Kulig's game-high 28 points were not enough to extend the series.

Fenerbahce will meet either Anadolu Efes or TOFAS in the final. TOFAS is currently leading Anadolu Efes 2-1 in the series.
