Basketball: Memnun named Galatasaray men’s team coach
Ekrem Memnun to serve Istanbul side until end of current season

ISTANBUL (AA) - Galatasaray men's basketball team on Thursday appointed Ekrem Memnun the new head coach.
The Lions said that Memnun will serve the team until the end of the current season.
Memnun, 51, led Galatasaray women's team to win the 2014 FIBA EuroLeague Women title and also helped the team claim a bronze medal in the 1999 FIBA EuroLeague Women.
On Tuesday, Galatasaray had parted ways with head coach Omer Ugurata.
