Belgian cyclist Jasper Philipsen wins stage 11 of Tour de France

Philipsen of Alpecin-Deceuninck team finishes 180 km route in 4 hours, 1 minute, 7 seconds

ISTANBUL (AA) - Jasper Philipsen of the Alpecin-Deceuninck team on Wednesday won the 11th stage of the Tour de France.

Philipsen, 25, completed a 180-kilometer (111-mile) route from Clermont-Ferrand to Moulins in four hours, one minute, and seven seconds.

The Belgian cyclist tasted a fourth stage victory at this year's Tour de France, taking his career tally to six.

Dylan Groenewegen of Jayco-AlUla secured second place, while Phil Bauhaus from the Bahrain Victorious team finished in third position.

Jonas Vingegaard, a Danish rider from the Jumbo-Visma team, currently leads the race with a total time of 46 hours, 34 minutes, and 27 seconds, holding a 17-second advantage over Tadej Pogacar of the UAE Emirates team.

The 12th stage, spanning 169 kilometers, is scheduled for Thursday and will take riders from Roanne to Belleville-en-Beaujolais.
