ANKARA (AA) - A Bolivian court has annulled terrorism and sedition charges against former Bolivian President Evo Morales, shortly after a landslide presidential win for Luis Arce of leftist party Movement For Socialism (MAS).

Morales' attorney Wilfredo Chavez told Spanish news agency EFE on Monday that an arrest warrant and indictment also were among the annulled several elements of the court proceedings.

The process opened by the right-wing Senator Jeanine Anez's interim government "remains at square one" regarding Morales because "the regular procedures of international legal communication have not been carried out" to notify Morales or call him to testify, Chavez said.

The decision came days after Morales' party MAS won the elections with 55.1% of the votes.

Morales faced terrorism and sedition charges last November, shortly after he resigned from his post under military pressure and took asylum in Mexico before traveling to Argentina, where he now stays.

The interim government also asked the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) to issue an arrest warrant against the former president, but the request has been rejected by the organization that the charges against Morales were "political crime".
