Borsa Istanbul down at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day down 0.47% on Monday to reach 95,286.18 points.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 99,406.95 points. As of closing, it lost 447.99 points from last week's close of 95,734.17 points.

The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,496.00 by market close, down from $1,512.10 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $59.40 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) Monday.
