Borsa Istanbul down at Monday's close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed at 1,351.59 points on Monday, down by 0.86% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,357.93 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 11.69 points from Friday's close of 1,363.28 points, on the last transaction day before going into a break due to Eid al-Adha holiday (Feast of the Sacrifice).

The price of Brent crude oil was around $71 per barrel as of 3.10 p.m. local time (1210GMT).
