Borsa Istanbul up at Thursday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 3,533.30 points on Thursday, up 0.44%, or 15.55 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 1.51% to end Wednesday at 3,517.75 points, with a daily trading volume of 63.4 billion Turkish liras ($3.35 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.5890 as of 10.49 a.m. local time (0749GMT), the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate at 18.0260, and a British pound traded for 21.5890 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $93.2 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,676.25.
