Borsa Istanbul up at Thursday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 3,892.54 points on Thursday, up 0.31%, or 12.2 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 1.01% to end Wednesday at 3,844.48 points with a daily trading volume of 85 billion Turkish liras ($4.55 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.5900 as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT), while the euro/lira exchange rate was at 18.2040 and a British pound traded for 20.8750 liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $93.5 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,634.35.
