Borsa Istanbul up at Tuesday's open

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 3,435.59 points on Tuesday, up 1.28%, or 43.46 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index jumped 6.67% to end Monday on 3,392.13 points, with a daily trading volume of 62.16 billion Turkish liras ($3.35 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.5490 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT), the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 18.3030, and a British pound traded for 21.0760 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $89.37 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was at $1,714.90.
