Borsa Istanbul up at Tuesday's opening session

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at a record-high 4,942.83 points on Tuesday, up 0.4%, or 19.61 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 1% to hit an all-time closing peak of 4,923.23 points on Monday, with a daily trading volume of 115 billion Turkish liras ($6.14 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 18.6373 as of 10.18 a.m. local time (0718 GMT), the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 19.3276, while a British pound traded for 22.3641 Turkish liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $85.77 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,752.20.
