ANKARA (AA) - Anthony Joshua reclaimed world heavyweight boxing title after beating Andy Ruiz Jr. in a rematch in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.
The 30-year-old Olympic gold medal winner, Joshua cut his opponent in round one with a right hit, and dominated the fight throughout.
Six months ago, Andy Ruiz Jr shocked the world after beating Joshua, but in the rematch, it was all about the British boxer as Johsua beat his opponent from the U.S. with unanimous 118-110, 118-110 and 119-109 score decisions.
He reclaimed the world heavyweight title, joining an elite list that includes Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson and Floyd Patterson.
Joshua also got back the WBA, WBO and IBF titles.
In his career, Joshua won 21 of his 24 matches by knockout, his only defeat was against Andy Ruiz Jr.
