Brazil beat Dominican Republic 3-2 in Olympic women's volleyball

2nd matches in preliminary round completed at Tokyo Games

ANKARA (AA) - Brazil beat the Dominican Republic 3-2 in a women's volleyball preliminary round Pool A match on Tuesday at the Olympics.

Serbia beat Japan 3-0 and South Korea defeated Kenya in straight sets in the other Pool A matches.

Serbia is first in Pool A with Brazil in second and Japan third.

Turkey lost to Italy 3-1 in a second match in the Pool B preliminary round.

The Russian Olympic Committee team defeated Argentina 3-0 and the US easily beat China 3-0.

The US has the top spot in the pool while Italy is second and Turkey is third.

All round matches, including Turkey against the US, will be played on July 29.
