Britain advances to Women's EuroBasket semis

Team beats Hungary 62-59 to secure spot in final four

ANKARA (AA) - Great Britain beat Hungary 62-59 Thursday to reach the FIBA Women's EuroBasket semis.

British center Temi Fagbenle scored 29 points against Hungary and was the key player in her team’s victory in the Serbian capital Belgrade.

Point guard Yvonne Turner was Hungary's top scorer, producing 11 points in the quarterfinal match.

France, Spain and host nation Serbia also made it through to the final four.

Great Britain will take on rivals France and Spain will play against Serbia in the semifinal stage.

The final four games will be held Saturday at Belgrade Arena.
