British boxer Fury says he'll retire after April heavyweight fight

ANKARA (AA) - British boxer Tyson Fury will retire after fighting Dillian Whyte for the WBC heavyweight championship, the pugilist has announced.

"This is the final fight of my career, I'm retiring after this, $150 million in the bank, healthy, young,” Fury, 33, told a late Tuesday press conference hyping the fight.

“I'm gonna buy a massive yacht abroad. I'm retiring, I'm out, this is my final fight, I'm done," he added.

Fury, also known as "the Gypsy King," previously announced his retirement in 2016 but then reversed himself within hours.

In his 32 career bouts, the WBC heavyweight champion boasts 31 wins and a draw.

Fury is set to defend his world heavyweight title against his compatriot Whyte at London's Wembley Stadium on April 23.
