Building collapse in Jordan leaves 2 dead, 7 injured
Investigation launched to determine cause of incident

AMMAN, Jordan (AA) – At least two people were killed and seven others injured in a building collapse in Jordan's capital Amman, authorities said on Tuesday.
The country's Public Security Directorate confirmed the casualties from the building collapse in the in Jabal Al-Weibdeh area.
Rescue and evacuation teams of the civil defense authority are still working to check if there are people trapped under the wreckage, it added.
Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh arrived at the site and ordered an investigation to determine the cause of the collapse.
According to the state-run Petra news agency, prosecutors launched an investigation into the incident.
