Bulgarian public broadcaster starts news bulletin in Ukrainian

BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - Bulgaria's public broadcaster Bulgarian National Television (BNT) has started news broadcasts in the Ukrainian language from Monday.

The show, Around the World and in Our Country, is mainly intended for Ukrainians who currently live in Bulgaria, and can be watched on the BNT website, as well as social networks including YouTube.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Sofia thanked the BNT management for the broadcasts.

Bulgaria has supported the Kyiv administration since the beginning of Russia's war on Ukraine last year, opening its doors to immigrants, mostly women and children, who fled the war.

Since 2000, the state television network has also been presenting a 10-minute news bulletin in Turkish every weekday, targeting the Turkish ethnic minority living in the Balkan country.
