CENTCOM chief meets Saudi coalition commander in Riyadh
Two men discuss bilateral ties, prospects for stepped-up military cooperation
RIYADH (AA) - U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) chief Joseph Votel has met with Fahd bin Turki bin Abdul Aziz, commander of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition in Yemen, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
At the meeting in Riyadh attended by several senior coalition officials, the two men discussed bilateral ties and prospects for enhanced military cooperation, SPA reported without elaborating further.
Since 2015, Saudi Arabia has led a military coalition of Arab states against Yemen’s Houthi rebel group.
