‘Our countries will improve mutual relations through media channels,’ says China's new ambassador to Ankara

ANKARA (AA) - China’s new ambassador to Turkey on Wednesday visited the headquarters in the capital Ankara of Anadolu Agency, Turkey’s premier news agency.

Ding Li was received by Senol Kazanci, the agency’s director general, and Metin Mutanoglu, its editor-in-chief and deputy director-general.

The ambassador stressed China's work to improve relations between the two countries.

“Chinese [news agency] Xinhua and Anadolu Agency will work cooperatively, and bilateral relations between the two countries will improve,” he said.

Stressing the importance of media cooperation between China and Turkey, Ding said they saw the impact of Anadolu Agency on world news.

Kazanci, for his part, said Anadolu Agency, which posts news, infographics, and analyses in 13 languages, will further strengthen its Beijing office, adding that he will support the agency’s team with these efforts.
