Investigators suspect attack carried out by YPG/PKK terrorists

Al-BAB, Syria (AA) – A Syrian civilian was killed in a terrorist attack in the northwestern al-Bab city on Wednesday, according to local sources.

The victim was seriously injured and lost his life when a car laden with explosives went off near the city center, the sources said.

The explosion caused material damage in the surrounding area.

Local security forces have launched an investigation into the blast, which is suspected to have been carried out by the YPG/PKK terrorist group.

The Daesh/ISIS terror group also had a presence in Al-Bab a few years ago, but was eliminated from the area in early 2017 by Türkiye’s Operation Euphrates Shield.
